Bre's Meatballs
The whole family LOVES these meatballs, a specialty of George’s daughter-in-law Breanna. Note that you can use Emilia, Prairie Red or Temparia vinegar - whatever you have on hand or whatever sounds good.
Meatballs
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
3/4 cup cracker crumbs
1 cup milk
3 T minced onion
1 1/2 t salt
1/2 t pepper
Sauce
2 T brown sugar
1 cup ketchup
3 T vinegar (1-2 T Emilia or 2-3 T Temparia or Prairie Red)
2 T Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup water
Combine ingredients. Form into 10 or 12 balls and brown on all sides in skillet. Place in 2-qt baking dish and cover with sauce (see below). Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees.
For sauce: Combine ingredients in saucepan. Simmer 10 minutes and pour over meatballs.
